Chia Energy Balls

Ingredients


  • 2 cups of pitted dates

  • half a cup of the Cocoa Chia Extra bag mix

  • a quarter cup of hemp seeds

  • 1 or 2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup

  • a pinch of salt

  • Chia Extra flavored powder for coating the energy balls (optional)



Steps


  1. Soak the dates in boiling water for 10 minutes

  2. Drain the dates well and place them in the bowl of a food processor

  3. Add the remaining ingredients and grind in the food processor for a few minutes or until the mixture is smooth and firm

  4. Shape into twenty balls and coat with powder if desired The balls can be stored in the refrigerator for about a week in a closed container.
